September 20th
Sustainable Turf Strategies-Selection and Care of The Best Grass For Your Yard. Hear nationally renowned expert, Dr. Grady Miller, Professor of Turf Science, at NC State and then visit their turf research fields to look at these grasses up close and personal.

Oct. 16th-18th
Trip to Ashville, NC. Enjoy the autumn color, wonderful gardens, friendship and more!

Nov. 14th
Gardening with Hellebores. Hear from Richard Tyler, owner of Pine Knot Farms about how to successfully use Hellebores in your garden, by adding an array of amazingly beautiful colors, with varying bloom times, and high deer resistance. Richard will review the many surprisingly different species and hybrids available as well as the best companion plants. Pine Knott Farms’ hellebores will be available for sale at special prices.

Dec. 5th
Visit to Reynolda House in Winston-Salem, the spectacularly furnished 1917 home of the Reynolds family, now also a museum of important American Art. It will be magnificently decorated for the holiday season and as if that’s not enough to put us in the holiday spirit, after touring the house and art collection, enjoy a stroll in their extraordinary gardens.

Jan. 16th
A Visit to Sarah and Michael’s Lily Farm in Durham where they grow lilies year-round and harvest six days a week. During the spring, about 5400 bulbs a day are planted. The many cultivars are an absolute joy to behold! Learn lots about their horticulture and bring some beauties home with you.

Feb. 20th
Container Gardening and Curb Appeal. Hear from Amy Strunk of Amy Strunk Designs in Chapel Hill. This uber landscape designer will share her unique take on landscaping with containers to enhance your curb appeal. Instant gratification guaranteed!

“Art in Bloom”- We are headed to the NC Museum of Art’s special exhibit to enjoy the spectacular flower arrangements inspired by works of art in the museum. See if you agree with the judges on who should receive first prize.
